An addressable fire alarm system is a type of fire detection and alarm system designed to provide precise and detailed information about the location of fire or potential fire events within a building or facility. It is a more advanced and intelligent version of the traditional conventional fire alarm system.
In a conventional fire alarm system, the building is divided into zones, and if a fire is detected in a specific zone, the system will only indicate the general area of the fire. On the other hand, an addressable fire alarm system can pinpoint the exact location of a fire or fault down to individual devices such as smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, and other devices connected to the system.
