| HCU484 Wide Dynamic |
| |
Honeywell’s HCU484 is the ideal camera for environments with high contrast and changing light conditions. Using Digital Pixel System® (DPS) Capture Technology, images are converted from analog to a digital format within each pixel immediately after the image is captured. Even in high contrast lighting conditions, the HCU484 delivers higher quality images, significantly better dynamic range (120 dB max), and higher frame rates than conventional CCD cameras.
While conventional cameras record every pixel in a frame with the same exposure time, the HCU484 records each of the 388,800 pixels at its own optimum exposure time. This results in correct color rendering and capturing details in all applications including high contrast scenes with shadows and glare. The Digital Pixel System® Capture Technology delivers crisp, color-saturated high resolution images without the presence of blooming or smearing, in both moving and still pictures.
The HCU484 offers convenient remote control of the on-screen menus via compatible DVRs and keyboards with Diamond control protocol, facilitating setup and camera maintenance. Seven wide dynamic presets allow quick and easy setup of the camera for various applications such as ATM machines, loading docks, lobbies, and scenes with intense glare from spotlights or car headlights. The day/night mode combined with digital slow shutter offers excellent nighttime performance while maintaining the wide dynamic capabilities of the imager. Market Opportunities The HCU484 is a surveillance solution designed for object recognition that is required in locations where high contrast and variable light conditions exist. Setup is quick and easy and can be customized with on-screen displays and preset modes. This provides optimum performance for both indoor and outdoor applications including lobbies, atriums, vestibules, gated entrances, foyers, loading docks, and driveways. |

| L-Series Camera |
| |
The new L-Series cameras from Honeywell are a family of five cameras that are upgraded from the E Series. These cameras offer crisp clear images and better low light performance in a smaller housing with lower power consumption than the E Series. Due to reduced video noise, these cameras allow longer storage capacity on DVRs. Additionally, the L-Series color and True Day/Night cameras now have manual shutter speeds, so you can set the camera to an exact shutter speed—great for more machine vision applications.
The L-Series offers a variety of camera options to fit a wide range of needs, and gives you an ideal solution for most applications and budgets. Each camera has unique features and something specific to offer: The black and white cameras offer a cost effective surveillance solution for object detection and recognition, and can take advantage of infrared illumination for increased low light sensitivity. Our color cameras offer a similar benefit for applications in which object color is required. The True Day/Night camera offers accurate color video in the daytime and improved low light sensitivity at night by moving the IR cut filter out of the optical path.

| True Day/Night High Resolution Color Camera |
| |
The Honeywell HCD484E colour camera is ideally suited fir use in 24/7 surveillance applications. The HCD484E adapts to varying lighting conditions to ensure the highest quality picture even in very low light conditions. When the light level drops too low for accurate video identification in colour, the camera automatically moves the IR cut filter out of the optical path. Then switches to black and white video to capture more detail using the increased sensitivity of the CCD to IR light. The camera uses internal logic, external light sensors or RS-485 communication to control the switchover from colour to black and white. This improves the reliability of the operation of the camera in difficult installation or lighting conditions.
An on-screen text menu simplifies all setup and adjustment options. Menu navigation is simple and picture adjustments can be mode in a matter of seconds with easy-to-use push buttons on the side of the camera.
The HCD484E includes an automatic electronic shutter for changes in light level, and 6 zones of automatic backlight compensation option for viewing backlit scenes. The HCD484E produces 480 TV lines of resolution for applications requiring the highest level of sharpness in video quality as well as providing reliable video quality even in low light conditions down to 0.06 lux |

| 27x Platinum Microsphere- a New Innovation in Dome Technology |
| |
With the arrival of the new 27x Orbiter Platinum Color/Mono Microsphere, dome technology takes a great leap forward. Offering a new industry standard for excellences, Honeywell Security’s well-deserved reputation as the leading price performer in the industry is further re-enforced.
Advanced Features
The Honeywell Security 27x Platinum Microsphere boasts a digital zoom of 10x, giving an impressive 270x total zoom. Plus it retains the many operation-critical features that made the Microsphere famous. Not least amongst these features is the plug and play set-up, allowing installers to complete installation in a fraction of the normal time. Add combined “Twisted Pair” and “In Coax” Telemetry and you have the ultimate flexible solution for any installation.
Scalable Privacy
The most advanced, scaleable Privacy Zone functionality available today is also a feature of the 27x Platinum Microsphere. To define a Privacy Zone, you simply use a preset view to identify the area to be blanked. This area then scales to remain the same size on a view as the operator pans past the blanked area, or zoom in and out. Sector Identification divides the full 360º pan coverage into 16 sections, each with identification text. This allows views to be clearly labeled so the operator knows precisely what the Platinum Microsphere is targeting.
Reduced Installation Time
NVT Onboard is fitted as standard, allowing the transmission of video over unshielded twisted pair cables (CAT5 recommended) to distance of up to 1.0km. By using UTP cabling, installers can also except to reduce the time and cost of typical installations.
Home Position
To prevent user error, and leaving a camera pointing in the wrong direction and missing vital information, the 27x Platinum Microsphere also makes use of the Home Position feature. Set by a compatible controller, Home Position allows the Orbiter to return to either a “home” preset or a “home” tour after a predefined period of time. Other features are supported by the 27x Platinum Microsphere. These include: programmable tours, remote reset, variable speed 360º continuous rotation and 180º flip.
Available as 5” internal wall, ceiling and false ceiling mount and 8” external wall, pole, soffit, “Regent” and Vandal Resistant Housing mount, the 27x Platinum Microsphere is a clear winner in the field or advanced dome technology. |
